The prevailing wisdom in Hollywood is that a person can never be too rich or too thin. This explains why most movies made there are obscenely rich in budget and disgustingly thin on plot. Celluloid Reduction is a twelve step program designed by two movie lovers (E and S) to help all future and current movie-makers make better movies. We will do this by mocking bad movies. This, in animal-training terms, is called negative reinforcement.
S is a writer and E is a librarian, so we really love good books. Our favorite is Harry Potter (No one is too old for Potter!!), but we really love The Splitting of the World (the book, not the actual splitting...of the world...). When we aren't reading or working, we love to watch movies. And then we quote them. Incessantly.
We would like to thank all the gracious supporters of our program. Without the following people, many more movies would go unreduced:
